Muse is a young cat whose mind has a special power, but she feels trapped living her life as a stray in the big city. With no memories of her kittenhood, she is haunted by dreams of the countryside, and she begins to wonder if the country is her real home.
Two other stray city cats befriend Muse, and each of them has its own journey to make as well. Together, they embark on an adventure to discover what it means to be home, to find peace, to experience joy, love, loss, and acceptance, and to experience a wild ride along the way.

If I have any fault to find with this story, it's that it is way too short. I read this in one day. A mute cat who speaks telepathically, and every other cat can hear her. We pick up her story in the city, some city where she is prowling looking for her next meal. She meets another cat who names herself Contempt. Then she meets Contempt's brother Watch. All three of them have very interesting stories, which they tell each other as they get to know one another. They decide to ride a train to take Muse home, so they do. Watch finally finds himself in a place where he can find peace. Contempt finds her adventure with train cats on her way back to the city. And Muse finds her home and her mother.Product details

Muse A Cat Story edition by Joanna Franklin Bell Children eBooks Reviews
Awesome
An enchanting tale of a mute cat who finds friends (or are they angels) and her way home.
A good exercise for young people, in taking on another's viewpoint, and accepting different preferences and uniquenesses.
You might also 'muse' about what kind of cat you would be, and in what setting you would choose to live.
This is a children's book. A sweet but short story. I liked it very much. I personally give it give stars.
I'm an animal lover. Especially dogs and cats. The author makes you feel as if you're there with Muse and his friends and family. This is one of the best books I've ever read. Also has a wonderful ending.
I'm a little torn on what to give this one. Honestly I'm not quite sure it merits a full 4 stars, because there was a lot of it that just really didn't stick with me. Some things were beaten into the ground while others were totally glossed right over, even though they would have been much more interesting. However, I did find myself invested by the end, and the characters themselves (except, tragically, Muse herself) were fairly well-developed. I certainly enjoyed the train cats and would perhaps suggest more of them.

Such a beautiful story. I absolutely love cats and try to read whatever books I can find in which they are the star be it fiction or non fiction.
I was completely captivated by Muse and her dreams. The entire story I held my breath hoping she would find what she was seeking. Her dreams mirror my own as well. Ms Bell's writing is so descriptive I could "feel" myself in the story along with the cats. I enjoyed her companions as well and wished for them the happiness and contentment they so longed for.
Simply a wonderful story that brought tears to my eyes, but in a good way for once. All too often tales involving cats are filled with sadness.
